Community
Sunny Hills is involved with the local community in service opportunities by inviting visitors from the local and wider community to come and engage with us, share their knowledge and experiences and for us to offer friendship and our experiences to enrich the relationship.
We are involved in collecting for the Salvation Army Christmas food appeal.
We invite all parents to be involved and to join in and share their skills, talents, hobbies, and professions with us.
The children engage in tasks at home and get paid to contribute and donate to children who are less fortunate than themselves.
We invite shows and artists to share their skills and talents with the children in a learning environment to extend their knowledge and skill.
We invite our extended family members – Grandparents, and others – to special days with the children to give opportunity for sharing and caring.
We have built a strong relationship with Sunnybank Hills State School as we work together to support the transition of many of our preschool children to their Prep classes each year.
We invite community service persons to come and inform the children about their duties in our community. We are visited by Dentists, Doctors, Fire officers, Ambulance Officers, Vets, Nurses, Wildlife Warriors, Marine workers, chefs, and many other community services persons to offer insight into their daily tasks.
One of my favourite things I love about Sunny Hills is every day when I drop my child off, I am always greeted by everyone. It feels like a big family at Sunny Hills.
